22nd year of life.
I found a purpose to dedicate myself to. It took 22 years. It takes many people much longer so it is good to know I am on the right track. Here’s to my 23rd year of life. I may die within these next 364 days. But until then, let’s have a worthwhile year.

I have this sweet Colombian woman who picks up her child from after care. She starts telling me how when she was my age she would have all the energy in the world, be able to stay up 3 days in a row, go dancing every night after her shift as a nurse. Now she can barely go 6 hours without needing to rest. As she leaves I tell her to enjoy her rest. She turns and says, “Enjoy life.”

Currently in Tallahassee.
I drove here after work and arrived 6 hours later. Good drive. I was cast in a student film so that’s why I’m here. I am on set right now. I only have one scene but there are four parts to it so I’m still here. Asi es la vida…

The problem living in small towns?
The majority of people only think about small things, things that don’t matter, things that don’t help the collective, things that are petty and not worthwhile. Find me a dreamer, someone who wants more, someone who goes out to get more than what they were given or thought they were allowed to have — that’s the kind of person I want to meet.
As you can tell I’m over...

50/50
If you want to laugh your heart out one second and then feel it break the next, I highly recommend seeing 50/50. JGL is amazeballs and Seth Rogen complements their relationship extremely well. If you want to treat yourself to a movie this would be it.

Work rant.
So I was promoted to a new position at work which was a blessing because it nearly doubled my hourly rate and sounds awesome on a resume. I was set to create and run a secondary afterschool program in a church because the original had filled up last year and was very popular. When I accepted the position, I was told they were giving it until October to see how it ran. This was the beginning of...

Damages
not-an-exit:
this season has been killer.
Damages has to be the best drama thriller on television. Hands down. Thank you DirecTV for saving it!

Hi,
Warren Buffett has as simple message for Congress: Stop coddling
the super-rich. I’m standing with Warren for higher taxes on the rich.
MoveOn will deliver Buffett’s op-ed, along with all the signatures, to
Congress soon and is aiming to get 350,000 Americans signed on first. Will
join me, Warren and hundreds of thousands of other Americans calling for
the rich to be taxed...

30 Years Ago Today: The Day The Middle Class Died →
From time to time, someone under 30 will ask me, “When did this all begin, America’s downward slide?” They say they’ve heard of a time when working people could raise a family and send the kids to college on just one parent’s income (and that college in states like California and New York was almost free). That anyone who wanted a decent paying job could get one....
Work & Relationships.
There’s a new girl that started recently. I heard from a co-worker that she thinks I’m cute and that she likes me. It was my job to train her since I was promoted and am leaving my location starting this Monday. She started with little comments like, “oh you make me giggle” and “you look so good in that shirt.” And once she caught wind that a volunteer liked me,...

Why must I look like a nice person to talk to?
Today I went to Pollo Tropical. It was my first time there. I ordered and was waiting for my food. Meanwhile a busser makes his way over to me and amid sweeping up plates says, “I feel like a slave.” I laugh and commiserate with him, thinking it was only going to last mere seconds until he had to drop off the plates. He leaves and comes back to me to say, “look at the chick in...
